An anecdote:
This had to be the result of a concussion - about ten (?) days after my car accident - there was a single day... that scared me more than any other... as far as strange effects.
Here is a summary:
In about ten second intervals, the entire universe around me seemed to go from normal speed and it slowed over that time to the point everything seemed perfectly still.
This was most profound when driving; it literally felt as if the car was coming to a stop, and it seemed as if the other cars were coming to a stop.
Clearly I knew this was a problem with my brain's perception of reality - and I have no idea how it could have come to sense reality in such a way - to scramble it to cause such an effect.
Needless to say - I honestly hope nobody else has to experience it, and it never comes up again for anybody...
But, perhaps, out there somewhere - is someone who is aware of this problem and possibly the area of the brain that could cause it or something; even potentially a name... which would be scary to know people live with this for more than even a small period of time.
This was in the same timeframe I could not walk unless I had a cane... and it was within the realm of time where I started entering mental hospitals...
That accident clearly obliterated my brain, I'm just glad it put itself back together... at least to the point I can seemingly trust my senses (for balance, etc).. and no more strange processing of time and events.
I guess if my brain is all fucked up when they look at it, in a way that only concussions can cause - than we can be quite certain that my problems are fully a result of that car accident.
Alas, these things become impossibly complicated to trace down - and without the proper paperwork and doctors saying there is a connection... then there is no connection... and you have a standalone problem with your brain... not one caused by an accident.
Who am I to say? I guess, I'm exactly the one to tell the story from my point of view - and others can decide how irresponsible professionals may or may not behaved... or if they simply were tied by the red tape of insurance companies and their bottom dollar.
