You'll find every person will admit simultaneously there is absolutely things that are purely good or evil... and also that there is no such thing as good or evil.
The logic is outrageously simple:
1. You act good, and it causes an evil event.
2. You act evil, and it causes a good event.
Your intention does not dictate the outcome. That is to say good intention do not always create good outcomes; and evil intentions do not always create evil outcomes.
That said; just because all of this is obvious and true - does not change the fact we will continue to use the concepts until the end of time, most likely.
