On #terrorism.

Terror and terrorism, I will forgo, are feelings and emotions - but, they also now have very legal and very social consequences.

In my mind there are two things being called terror... but only one can be watched for and resolved in a reasonable way... the other has infinite cost and no solution, but works well in politics.

Type 1 - organized, financed, orchestrated... what people would commonly call a conspiracy... a conspiracy is simply a plan that more than one person knows about.  However, it is exactly this quality that makes it so dangerous.

Type 2 - a person who randomly murders as many people as they can, with little to no notice; basically within their full rights as an American... up to the point where they act out.  This may be terrifying, and it may be awful, ... and we certainly would like to stop it.

One of these things computers and financial institutions and governments ... can pretty easily be aware of.  The other is more a psychological disorder combined with a technological era where large amounts of damage can be done.

Americans are certainly not willing to take away the technology that allows Type 2 to exist; and there is, in fact, not much you can do... not practically.

The first Type should be easy to identify and address - the problem is, it is usually politically powerful and cannot be addressed.  For me, I think what Donald Trump did is an example of the worst kind of potential terrorist ... the kind that can legally take over the country.
