So in the end; the guild I was in was <Good Guys>; a merger between the ultra-server controlling raid guild after they destroyed all the content, and our guild -- it gave our guild all the chances to any end game loot we could possibly want; without the strategic gamesmanship that can be used against you, when you field a small force.
In any event - my claim to fame ; and I'll give the long story ... all my characters followed a naming convention ... 5 letter first name, 4 letter last name.
I needed a mage for the plane of sky release; really only planning to be a bot for zerging down a mob up there. I wanted him to have a pet name, if it could be done; and it was possible: Jober was born.
Now, Jober was no ordinary mage, he had extra special powers ... game breaking powers. And here is how that worked; as I slowly learned (as I did not know any of this would happen, until it did).
I slowly came to realize that any time I was in a zone, and someone summoned a pet with my name, I would get booted off the server; I'd always come back and track down the Jober pet that did it.
But; there was another, quite more interesting thing that could happen: I... myself, could summon a Jober... and this ... was an existential crisis to the game. It would instantly crash the zone, and even roll it back to a previous iteration.
I didn't use this strategically in any way, as a matter of fact, it was a little nuisance, liability and my little secret for a long time.
Until the day I accidentally crashed the entire Temple of Veeshan raid zone, while it was full of hundreds of people... and of course everyone was going crazy ... but I knew what happened, I knew what I had done.
I announced it over my discord within ... 10 or 15 seconds.... and everyone got a huge laugh out of it.
Lets just say - I had to explain this bug to the GMs ... as Jober ceased to exist - as an entity too powerful to ever again walk the world of Norrath.
And so is the Legend of Yober, the world breaker formally known as Jober... I'm pretty sure, you can find him, if you look. And, if you were to be able to look inside his little piggy bank, the wonders you would see - I felt it unfair to not hand that all back over to the guild; if they'd helped me get it or not.
This was probably, the most fun moment in the entire game... for me.
I thank and appreciate all of the wild and crazy people that I met along the way; it was a lot of fun - but, it takes a commitment that can only be maintained for so long. Thanks for the memories everyone.
I had after all; seen every single thing I had come to see - and I had told everyone for a long time; one day I would just... disappear... having seen everything, I would simply vanish; and so it was (basically).
PS someone should spend all that DKP - I ran out of things to do with it... and I just logged in and noticed it was all still there.
