Had to install OBS on a new computer, I forgot I didn't have it when I went looking for it. A lot of streamers use the software, but I just use to it to keep recordings/archives... its easy to remux and edit using microsoft photos (I think), to capture just the scenes you want.
Setting up the buffered recorder makes sure you don't ever take up too much space - you just click a button, and it saves the last xyz minutes based on the settings you made for it.
This is best when something happens, and you just want to clip that - and some amount of details leading up to it. You could quickly use up a lot of space if you are having it store every recording in full. The problem only being, if you want to go back to a point beyond which the buffer has saved.
Its a powerful tool; and needless to say it started working smoothly again right away - I do not plan to spam videos... but, its nice to have the option.
